CLEARANCES TO COMBUSTIBLES
Due to high surface temperatures, the Tucson should
be located out of traffic and away from furniture and
draperies. Clothing and other flammable material
should not be placed on or near the Tucson heater.
Always maintain adequate clearances around the air
openings into the combustion chamber and allow for
adequate ventilation. Minimum clearances to
combustibles must be maintained as shown to the
right, in Figure 1.

HEARTH REQUIREMENTS/FLOOR PROTECTION
The Tucson can be installed on wood flooring or
a non-combustible surface. For installation of the
Tucson on carpeting, vinyl tile, or other
combustible materials other than wood flooring,
the unit shall be installed on a metal or other
non-combustible hearth.
NOTE:
Some wood floor varnishes, stains, or
polyurethane may be affected by heat.
