Step 2.
Place the right refractory against the
fi
rebox right wall such
that it is against the back refractory (see Figure 14.7).
Step 3.
Bend left and right refractory retainer tabs to keep side
pieces from tipping (see Figure 14.8).

Step 4.
Install logs according to the install manual.
CAUTION
Refractory is fragile! Carefully remove the refractory from the
packaging.

Remove the logs from the

replace. Place the back wall
refractory centered against the back of the
fi
replace on
top of the grate tabs. While steadying the back piece
with one hand, place the left refractory against the
fi
re-
box left wall such that it is against the back refractory
(see Figure 14.6).

If vent run includes a PVI-SLP, ember material
should be placed along the back of the rear ports for lighting
purposes.
