SOLUTION
Light does not come
on.
1. Circuit breaker or fuse is turned off.
2. If the lamp being controlled has an-
other switch, it may be turned off.
3. Bulb is burned out.
4. LIGHT control not set properly.
5. Mode switch is in the OFF position.
6. Poor connection.
7. Switch ground wire is not connected
to house ground.
8. Control may be wired wrong.
1. Turn circuit breaker on.
2. Turn other switch on.
3. Replace light bulb.
4. Turn the LIGHT control clockwise
(see
Light Sensitivity Level
, page 3).
5. Set switch to AUTO or ON.
6. Verify all wiring connections.
7. Connect switch ground wire to house
ground wire.
8. Verify wiring is correct, see Figure 3.
Light does not turn
off.
1. Mode switch is in the ON position.
2. Motion is still present.
3. Delay set by TIME control has not
expired.
4. Control may be wired wrong.
1. Set switch to AUTO or OFF.
2. Make sure there is no motion during
TIME control period.
3. Set switch TIME control to shorter
time period.
4. Verify wiring is correct, see Figure 3.
Light comes on
randomly in AUTO
mode.
1. Switch is being triggered by air vent
or other heat source.
2. Control may be wired wrong.
1. Determine the source triggering the
switch and alter air flow.
2. Verify wiring is correct, see Figure 3.
Light comes on in
the AUTO mode
without motion.
1. Mode switch has been turned off and
back on.
2. There was a momentary power inter-
ruption.
1. Control will function normally after
1 minute warm up period.
2. Control will function normally after
1 minute warm up period.
Light does not turn
on in AUTO mode.
If there is too much light already in the
room, the light may not come on.
Turn the LIGHT control clockwise (see
Light Sensitivity Level
, page 3).
Light does not stay
on in AUTO mode.
1. Motion has stopped in the room.
2. TIME control is set for too short a
delay.
1. Continue movement.
2. Set switch TIME control to longer
time period.
Light turns on in
daylight in the AUTO
mode.
LIGHT control not set properly.
Turn the LIGHT control counter-
clockwise (see
Light Sensitivity Level
,
page 3).
Light does not come
on in AUTO mode
but works correctly
in the ON and OFF
positions.
Control is not wired correctly.
WARNING: Turn power off at
the fuse or circuit breaker before
re-wiring.
Switch the black and brown sensor
wires and test again. See Figure 3.
