Reading a string of a machine parameter
In order to store the content of a machine parameter as a string in
a QS parameter:
Press the
Q
key.
Press the
STRING FORMULA
soft key
Enter the number of the string parameter in
which the TNC is to save the machine parameter.
Confirm with the
ENT
key
Select the
CFGREAD
function
Enter the numbers of the string parameters for
the key, entity and attribute, then confirm with the
ENT
key
Enter the number for the index, or skip the dialog
with N
NO ENT
, whichever applies
Close the parenthetical expression with the
ENT
key and confirm your entry with the
END
key
Example: Read as a string the axis designation of the fourth
axis
