Working with ZIP archives
Proceed as follows to open ZIP archives with the extension
zip
directly on the TNC:
To call the file manager, press the
PGM MGT
key.
Select the directory in which the archive file is
saved
Move the cursor to the archive file
Press
ENT
: The TNC opens the archive file in its
own application using the additional
Xarchiver
tool
With the key combination ALT+TAB you can always
return to the TNC user interface while leaving the
archive file open. Alternatively, you can also click the
corresponding symbol in the task bar to switch back
to the TNC interface.
If you position the mouse pointer over a button, a
brief tool tip explaining the function of this button will
be displayed. More information on how to use the
Xarchiver
function is provided under
Help
.
Please note that the TNC does not carry out any
binary-to-ASCII conversion or vice versa when
compressing or decompressing NC programs and
NC tables. When such files are transferred to TNC
controls using other software versions, the TNC may
not be able to read them.
Proceed as follows to exit
Xarchiver
:
Use the mouse to select the
ARCHIVE
menu item
Select the menu item
Exit
: The TNC returns to the file manager
If you are not using a mouse, proceed as follows to close the
Xarchiver
:
Press the key for switching the soft keys:
The
Xarchiver
opens the
ARCHIVE
pull-down
menu
ARCHIVE
Select the
Exit
menu item and confirm with the
ENT
key: The TNC returns to the file manager
