6.1
How to Decommission the Energy Manager
To decommission the Energy Manager, complete the following steps:
•
Shut down the Energy Manager. See
on page 80.
•
Disconnect the Energy Manager from the – 48 V
DC
network.
•
Check that connections are voltage-free and ensure that they are
not turned on again.
•
Remove all electrical connections to and from the Energy
Manager.
•
Disassemble all sensors and actuators.
TIP
Return the discarded Energy Manager devices and equipment parts to
Heliocentris Industry GmbH for disposal. Dispose of unnecessary
packaging material in accordance with the local laws and regulations.

How to Disconnect the Energy Manager
NOTICE
Danger of data loss!
Improperly shutting down the Energy Manager can destroy the flash
disk module.
Wait until the software of the Energy Manager has shut down
before disconnecting the power cord.
1.
Shut down the Energy Manager. See
on page 80.
2.
Disconnect the power supply.
A message on the display indicates when the power supply can be
disconnected.
3.
Check that connections are voltage-free.
4.
Disconnect all connections from the I/O panel.
5.
Remove the SIM card(s).
6.
Unscrew the 4 screws on the left and right sides.
The Energy Manager is disconnected and can be removed from
the rack.
