6 .2 Electrical connection
The unit must be fully isolated from the mains power supply and secured against being switched on again
before all maintenance and installation work or before opening the terminal compartment!
– The electrical connection and commissioning must only be carried out by an authorised, qualified electrician as spe-
cified in the motor terminal box and the attached wiring diagrams.
– The relevant standards, safety regulations (e.g. DIN VDE 0100) and the technical connection regulations of the energy
supply company must be observed!
– An all-pole mains switch / isolator, with at least a 3 mm contact opening (DIN EN 60335-1) is already mounted.
– With regard to ALB EC 30/20 EH, an additional mains switch / isolator, with at least a 3 mm contact opening (DIN
EN 60335-1) must be mounted before the pre-heater!
– The network configuration, voltage and frequency must be consistent with the information on the type plate.
– When installing the electrical supply lines, it must be ensured that water cannot run along the cables in case of water
exposure.
– Bushings on the side of the terminal box are to be used for entry of connecting cables. The cables must be put
through the bushings ensuring the electrical protection class is maintained.
– Terminal markings correspond to the wiring diagram in the terminal box.
– When connecting all connectors in the terminal box, it is necessary to ensure that damage is not caused
Connection of protective conductor (PE) via PE terminal
Connection of power supply via main switch
1 ~ 230 V L1/N/
3 ~ 400 V L1/L2/L3/N/
(L1= control phase)
Connection of electric pre-heater battery to contactor in switch box:
3 ~ 400 V L1/L2/L3/PE
Never run cable over sharp edges!
Check direction of rotation of connected fan!
