Danger to life due to electric shock!
With regard to connection/dismantling work on a live controller, there is a risk of fatal electric shock.
– The connection of electrical components such as pumps, actuators etc. to a controller for power supply must always
be carried out by an electrician.
– Any existing controllers must first be fully isolated from the mains voltage and secured against restarting.
– Ensure the controller is voltage-free before any wiring work for connecting e.g. pumps or actuators.
– Only apply voltage to newly installed controllers once all system components are completely wired.
– Only install fitting group in dry and closed rooms.
– The fitting group must be properly grounded via potential equalisation pursuant to applicable standards prior to com-
missioning. If factory grounding specifications are specified, they must be used.
– A potential equalisation using piping is not permitted. VDE 0100-540 must be observed.
m
Risk of scalding due to hot media!
When working on the fitting group during operation, there is a risk of scalding from the uncontrolled discharge of hot
water or steam.
– Drain the heating system or shut off the supply lines in the relevant section prior to all work (conversion, maintenance,
dismantling).
– Allow the system to cool down.
– Always wear protective glasses when venting the system.
