For reasons of IT security, it is recommended to disable all network services that are not
needed.

To activate/deactivate Telnet to the device (in most cases only required for mainte-
nance) use the checkbox
Telnet
(Fig. 125 /1). Telnet access is not encrypted and is not
safe.

To activate/deactivate Linux secure shell and secure sftp file access to the device
(activated by default) use the checkbox
SSH
■
To activate/deactivate DNS Service Discovery use the checkbox
DNS-SD
This service is used to find sensors automatically in a network.

To activate/deactivate the time server synchronization (this should be activated to set
the correct time and date automatically) use the checkbox
NTP
NTP requires specifying the
Time Server

To go back to the last saved settings click the
Reset
