Important!
Collect any waste and emissions in appropriate containers
and dispose of them properly.
7.2
Maintenance instructions for prolonged periods
of inactivity
Protect the pumps from atmospheric influences (UV light,
sunlight, high humidity levels, frost, etc.).
The points specified in section 6 'Commissioning' must be
fulfilled before restarting the pumps.
Caution!
Insufficient rotary motion of the motor
shaft leads to the impeller becoming
jammed and a failure of the mechani-
cal seal!
To counteract this rotate the motor
shaft repeatedly by hand in weekly
intervals.
In addition, the following label can be found on the motor:
For pump controllers it is recommended to programme an au-
tomatic start up every 48 hours for a maximum of 3 seconds.
A start up procedure at approximately 5 Hz is advisable for
operation with variable frequency drives.
7.3
Bearing lubrication
Anti-friction bearings are provided pre-lubricated.
Danger!
High magnetic forces during the disas-
sembly and assembly of PM motors
can lead to severe personal injury and
property damage.
Before disassembly and assembly,
see section 9, Disassembly/Assembly.
Follow the operating manual included
in delivery.
Important!
Anti-friction bearings that are used at a speed of
- 1500 (1800) rpm are to be re-lubricated or replaced, if
necessary, after 20,000 hours of operation
however, this should be every 3 years at the latest.
7.3.1 Relubrication unit
Depending on the motor manufacturer a standard relubrica-
tion unit is available for motors operating at 1500 (1800) rpm
- from 1.1 kW for both bearings or
- from 1.1 kW for the anti-friction bearing (drive side) and
from 7.5 kW for both bearings,
- for both bearings in the case of pumps of the herborner.X-C
model.
Figure 13 Dry running label
The label says that the motor shaft should be rotated several
times by hand at weekly intervals and the operating manual
should be followed.
Follow the instructions on the label.
