Checking the clamping force of the quick
releases
Open and close the quick releases on the stem or
the seat post.
The clamping force is sufficient if the clamping
lever can be moved easily from the open final
position into the middle and has to be pressed with
the fingers or base of the thumb from the middle
point onwards.
Setting the clamping force
If the
clamping lever on the handlebars
cannot be
moved into its final position, screw out the
knurled
nut
.
If the clamping force of the
clamping lever on the
seat post
is not sufficient, screw in the
knurled nut
.

If the clamping force cannot be set, the HERCULES
specialist dealer will need to check the quick release.
