Mains inlet device socket and mains switch
Please check the mains connection values on the label (rating plate) (see Fig. 11 no.3) on the rear
side of the DancerPlus (see Fig. 6 no. 5) with regard to the power outlet to be used and observe
the country-specific regulations (e.g. in Germany, DIN VDE 0100, power outlet with residual
current device). In case of doubt, please contact your technical service department, an electrician
or electricity plant
The mains inlet device socket (Fig. 6 no. 7) is located on the rear side of the DancerPlus, and the
supplied power supply cable is connected here. Actuate mains switch on (Fig. 6 no. 8) so that
the “O” position protrudes and the DancerPlus is switched on. Switch on the other system
devices such as the vacuum pump and, if required, the cold trap.
2.3.9
Lid connection cable
Ensure that the lid connection cable (Fig. 6 no. 2) is not damaged and cannot be damaged, e.g.
transportation damage, torn-out plastic cable gland, cable clamped between the basic device
and the lid.
Attention: this is not a standard cable and thus may only be replaced with an equivalent cable
2.4
Conduct in the event of faults and irregularities
The device may only be operated in flawless condition. If, as a user, you notice any irregularities,
faults or damage, shut down the device immediately and inform your supervisor.
2.5
Emergency switch-off of the DancerPlus
Change the position of the power switch on the rear side of the device (Fig. 6 no. 8) and disconnect the power
cable from the mains.
If the DancerPlus is switched off or disconnected from the mains, e.g. following a power
interruption, the release valve (release inlet) (Fig. 6 no. 3 and Fig. 5 no. 4) will automatically open,
and if the vacuum pump is stopped or switched off, the lid may be opened after approx. 3 minutes
in order to remove the samples from the DancerPlus.
Depending on the type of operation, the vacuum chamber surfaces (Fig. 7), the temperature
sensor, the rack and the sample vials / tubes contained within may still be hot after switching off
or a power interruption. They may cause burns if touched. Use temperature-resistant protective
gloves or allow the DancerPlus to initially cool down after switching off.
Open the lid to allow it to cool down quicker.
When dealing with samples, take account any potential biohazards and wear protective gloves
and goggles.
