Shaking speed

The  shaking  speed,  respectively  Speed,  turning  knob  (Fig.  5  no.  10)  controls  the  speed  of  the  shaking  plate.
Depending on the rack used or the full gross weight (shaking plate, rack and sample  vials / tubes), the shaking
plate will begin to move at a value of approx. 3.00 up to 4.50.

At the maximum possible setting of 10.00, the shaking plate will rotate at 1000 rpm. Please note
that the setting at the analogue turning knob does not correspond with the actual speed with
different  adjustment  values,  i.e.  with  a  setting  of  8.00,  for  example,  the  shaking  plate  will  not
rotate at 800 rpm, but only approx. 700 rpm depending on the gross weight.

Jumo® temperature controller

On the Jumo® temperature controller (Fig. 5 no. 7 and Fig. 19), the actual temperature can be read on the display
(Fig.10 no. 6). Additional  menu items are also  enabled on the Jumo® temperature controller for this purpose,
such as the operating hour display, the low/high temperature alarm, the alarm delay and the temperature offset
value.

3.0.6.1

Target temperature

To set the target temperature, press the “P”  button. The display will alternate between the “SP” value and the

current target temperature. To change these, press the corresponding arrow button (Fig. 10 no. 4 or no. 5). Briefly
pressing the arrow button will change the value in 0.1°C increments. Continuously pressing the arrow button will
change the target temperature more quickly. If the desired target temperature value has been reached, you can

wait until the temperature controller changes back to its normal display or press the “P” button six times.

If the lid is open, the IR lamp heating will not heat up or illuminate; this is due to safety reasons.

If the heater switch (Fig. 5 no. 6) is switched off or in the “0” position, the IR lamp heating will also

not heat up or illuminate
If the temperature sensor is defective, the IR lamp heating will not heat up and the display (Fig.

10 no. 6) will alternate between “Err” and “¯ ¯ ¯“.

When  removing  individual  samples  or  the  rack,  please  note  that  the  vacuum  chamber  wall,
temperature sensor and rack may pose risks of burns.

During  the  evaporation  of  volatile  solvents,  work  with  a  low  target  temperature.  If  the  target
temperature is too high, the mixture of gas and air may ignite. Please consult the data sheet of
the pertinent solvent for advice.

3.0.6.2

Operating hour display

Press the “P” button twice to read the operating hour display. The value “t. h” will appear alternately in the displa

and  the  current  operating  hours  of  the  IR  lamp  heater  in  the  lid  respectively  the  compartment  heater  will  be

displayed in hours (“xxh”). This value is merely informative and cannot be changed.
