Cleaning carried out by the user
3.1.1
Precautions
Before carrying out any cleaning work, the DancerPlus must be switched off and the device
connection cable (power cord) unplugged on both sides!
Before using a cleaning agent or decontaminant other than those recommended by the
manufacturer, the user must check with the manufacturer that the planned procedure will not
damage the device.
Agents such as acetone must never be used, as these will damage any component made of
plastic.
Cleaning agents and disinfectants in the pH range of 5 to 8 and which have no abrasive properties
must be used.
In order to prevent the cleaning agents or disinfectants from causing any corrosion, the cleaning
agent /
disinfectant manufacturer’s special application instructions must be observed.
For normal usage, we recommend weekly cleaning. However, if highly aggressive liquids (as
described in chapter 1.8) are evaporated, then we recommend daily cleaning.
For any stubborn contamination, we recommend that you first soak the contaminated area with
water or alcohol. The “Scotch
-
Brite® professional” cleaning sponge may
be used, apart from on
the front panel (Fig. 5 no. 12).
Before carrying out any cleaning work, the DancerPlus should initially be allowed to cool down.
To speed this up, open the lid.
When dealing with samples, take account any potential biohazards and wear protective gloves
and goggles, and disinfect the DancerPlus beforehand.
When carrying out cleaning work, ensure that no liquid penetrates the housing openings,
particularly the ventilation slots (Fig. 6 no. 1 and Fig. 8 no. 3), nor the switches, Jumo®
temperature controller, etc.
The temperature sensor must always be handled and operated carefully.
Live electrical parts may become accessible following the removal of covers. Touching these may
cause electric shocks. Before removing the covers, remove the device connection cable (power
cord).
Work on the device interior may only be carried out by authorised technician.
