Using scripted configuration flows
Scripted configuration flow
You can use BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) with the RESTful API Tool to create standard server
configuration scripts to automate many of the manual steps in the server configuration process.
Configuration Replication Utility (CONREP)
CONREP is included in the STK and is a utility that operates with the BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU) to replicate hardware configuration. This utility is run during State 0, Run Hardware Configuration
Utility when performing a scripted server deployment. CONREP reads the state of the system
environment variables to determine the configuration and then writes the results to an editable script file.
This file can then be deployed across multiple servers with similar hardware and software components.
You can find the STK on the Hewlett Packard Enterprise website (

iLO RESTful API support for UEFI
ProLiant servers and HPE Synergy compute modules include support for configuring UEFI BIOS settings
using the RESTful API. The RESTful API Tooi is a management interface that server management tools
can use to perform server configuration, inventory, and monitoring. A REST client uses HTTPS operations
to configure supported server settings, such as iLO 5 and UEFI BIOS settings. For more information
about the RESTful API and the RESTful Interface Tool, see the Hewlett Packard Enterprise website
(

).
HPE Smart Storage Administrator (HPE SSA)
HPE SSA Scripting is a standalone application that is distributed with the HPE SSA CLI application and is
used for configuring arrays on Smart Array devices.
