– The power supply from the electrical mains is
disconnected when the main switch is switched
off.
– After completion of any work on the device, en-
sure that all safety devices work properly.
– Do not make unauthorised modifications to the
device.
Transport and installation
The following safety rules apply to all work in con-
nection with the transport and installation of the de-
vice:
– Before transporting the device to its location of
use, secure it.
– To transport the device, use the handle and the
wheels.
Instructions for operation
The following safety rules apply to the operation of
the device:
– The device must only be operated by persons
who have been
properly instructed
in its opera-
tion.
– Do not modify, dismantle
or disable safety de-
vices. The safety devices must be inspected at
regular intervals.
– All guards, covers and hoods must be correctly
installed.
– Do not make structural modifications to the de-
vice.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
The following safety rules apply to all work in con-
nection with maintenance and troubleshooting:
– Maintenance and troubleshooting tasks must be
performed only by suitably qualified persons.
– Before commencing work, shut down the device
and disconnect it from the power socket.

Operating conditions
The device is designed for indoor use, on construc-
tion sites, in garages and in storage spaces / rooms.
The device operates efficiently:
– within the specified temperature and humidity
range, see
– In closed rooms with minimum exchange of air to
adjacent areas
– When placed at the centre of the room

In small rooms, the room temperature may be sig-
nificantly increased by the operation of the dehu-
midifier. For optimum efficiency, operate the device
within the operating ranges specified in the
The following conditions and safety rules must al-
ways be adhered to.
– Handle the device with care. Do not drop or
throw the device, and do not transport it unse-
cured.
– Place the device in an upright position and en-
sure that it cannot topple over.
– Ensure proper air circulation around the device
(clearance in front of air inlet min. 60 cm; in front
of air outlet min. 3 m).
– Do not cover the device during operation.
– Make sure that condensate can drain off into the
water tank. Regularly empty the water tank.
– Do not drink the water in the tank, as it might
contain germs causing infection.
– Do not place the device in puddles or stagnant
water. If the device or its power cord have be-
come wet, dry the components thoroughly before
starting the device.
– Make sure that the device does not suck in oil,
grease or other contaminants.
– Always operate the device with a clean air filter.
– Connect the device to a power mains whose
voltage correspond to that specified on the type
plate.
– Only use extension cables that meet the perfor-
mance data on the type plate, as there is other-
wise a risk of overload.
– Connect the device to a power socket that is
earthed or protected by an integrated earth leak-
age circuit breaker.
– The device must not be operated by persons
under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medica-
tion.
– Use only original spare parts or parts approved
by the manufacturer.
If the device is operated under inadmissible condi-
tions, its operational safety and performance might
be impaired. Inadmissible operating conditions must
therefore be avoided at all times.
The device must not be used in rooms with explo-
sive atmospheres. Operation of the device in rooms
with an oily, sulphurous or saline atmosphere, or in
rooms with high levels of solvents or extreme con-
centrations of dust is prohibited.
