SR SERIES FRONT PANEL
1. FRONT MOUNTING BRACKETS;
used in conjunction with the rear brackets to mount the amplifier in a
rack system.
2 & 6. CHANNEL GAIN CONTROLS;
these controls are used to adjust the gain of each channel, they
determine how loud each channel will sound for a given input signal level. In Bridge mode CH1 potentiometer
controls the gain on both channels and in Stereo or Parallel mode just on CH1. Gain control range is:
-0 dB~0dB.
The segmented surround of the controls are illuminated green in the presence of mains power.
?
3 & 7. SIGNAL INDICATOR;
these indicators illuminate when there is signal activity on the associated
channel, the sensitivity is around 0.35V.
4. CLIP INDICATOR;
the segmented surround of the controls are usually illuminated green, but when the level
of signal on either channel is sufficient to clip the amplifier, the surround on that channel changes to RED. When the
surround is RED, the amplifier has reached its maximum power output. The distortion is around 0.5%.
5. PARALLEL INDICATOR;
shows when the amplifier is in Parallel mode, i.e. acting as two separate amps with
a common input.
8. FRONT AIR INTAKE;
the air flow for cooling on this amplifier flows from front to back. Make sure that there
is an adequate air supply at the front of the amplifier and that the rear of the amplifier has room for the exhaust to
escape.
9. MAIN POWER SWITCH;
switches the mains power ON and OFF. When the power switch is turned ON,
the HH logo, gain controls and the protection indicators are all illuminated, the amplifier will now selftest
automatically for around 10 seconds. The protection indicators will go out when the test has finished.
10 & 11. PROTECT INDICATORS;
when these indicators are ON the amplifier is in protection mode, which
includes output short circuit, overheating, DC, VHF constant non-music high frequency signal.
12. ILLUMINATED HH LOGO;
this badge is illuminated when the mains power switch is in the ON position.
