Always try to lift the load with the extension
boom retracted, however not completely. The
crane then has the greatest lifting capacity. Place
the vehicle as close as possible to the load.
Working below ground level
If you have to load or unload below the level of
the ground: keep the first boom angle to about 10
to 30° above the horizontal plane.
Heavy loads
Lift heavy loads with the second boom in the
optimum position in relation to the first boom.
For this, see the load plate on your crane.
DANGER
Never exceed the maximum permissible load-
ing of the hook.
Heavy loads cannot be handled with the boom
straight.
Set the second boom, so there is an angle in
relation to the first boom.
Loads at the extreme limit of the working zone
Also in this case, angle down the second boom
somewhat. Only use the first boom .
