Your unit may be equipped with a patio (party) deck complete with folding rails. The
maximum weight capacity of the patio deck is 1500 pounds. This weight capacity is based
on evenly distributed load.
Do not exceed the 1500 pound weight capacity or load the
patio deck unevenly.
Setting up the party deck:
To set up the party deck, locate and secure the cables to both sides of the door frame and
cargo ramp door. To secure the cables, fasten one end of the cable to the top of the cargo
door frame using the quick link fastener. Once the cable is in place, make sure to securely
tighten the nut on the quick link fastener at the top of the door (Fig. A) Lifting up the cargo
ramp door slightly, secure the other end of the cable to the cargo ramp door (Fig. B) by
inserting the safety pin through the bracket and cable. Secure the safety clip on the end of
the pin. Repeat the process on the other side of the cargo ramp door.
The side rails are bolted to the door frame, and each side rail consists of two sections. One
section makes up the end rail, and the other section is the side rail. The rails include wheels
to make them easier to move. The end rail section folds against the side rail section and is
secured with a velcro tab.
Once the cargo ramp door is lowered and cables are secured, the railings can be moved into
place.
Standing inside the recreation vehicle looking out the back, the rail on the right side
will unfold first. Unfold the right rail and roll it to the right side of the platform.
Next unfold the left side rail, and roll it to the left side of the platform.
The part of the rails that were secured with velcro will form the enclosed ends of the
party deck. Release the velcro tab that secures each set of rails and unfold them.
Around the edge of the party deck, there are slotted aluminum brackets with a black
Maximum capacity is based on an evenly distributed load in the patio position.
Do not exceed the 1500 pound weight capacity or load the patio deck unevenly.
Failure to observe the weight limit or use other than intended may result in
property damage and/or personal injury.
