Loading a vehicle in the cargo bay:
Release the cables attached to the cargo ramp door so it can be lowered to the ground.
Lift the ramp door up slightly and remove the safety pins which will release the cables
from the cargo ramp door. Remove the safety pins from the brackets; let the cables
dangle at the side of the door frame.
Lower the ramp door to the ground.
Unfold the left and right side rail sections so they are parallel with the sides of the ramp
door. If more clearance is needed, the end sections can be unhooked from the side rails
by releasing the velcro tab(s), and extending the end rails straight out along the sides
of the ramp door.
After loading the vehicle, re-attach the end rails to the side rails with the velcro tab(s)
(if they were extended). Secure all vehicles and cargo with tie downs straps.
Swing the left side rail assembly across the door opening (as viewed from inside the RV
looking out the back). Wheels on the side rail assembly should be up on the diamond
plate transition.
Swing the right side rail assembly across the door opening, and against the left side
rail assembly.
Close the ramp door and secure all latches.
All vehicles and cargo stowed in the rear cargo area must be secured with tie
down straps while in transit. Failure to do so could result in property damage.
NOTE:
Before loading the cargo area, refer to the Loading the
Cargo Area section of this manual for detailed and important loading,
weight and weight distribution information.
Awnings must be closed (and locked if applicable) while the RV is in transit
The effects of wind and rain on an awning are unpredictable and can cause
severe damage to the awning and/or the recreation vehicle. If wind or extended
periods of rain are expected, retract the awning.
