Step 1: Configure serial I/O server
1.
Install setup software for serial IO Server from its CD/DVD, named: Comhigher
Utility.
2.
Run the utility, and click
Search
to add Serial IO server into the list.
3.
Assign IP address for Serial IO server:
Highlight the server and right click, select ‘Assign IP Address’, then assign the IP
and sub mask accordingly, for example: 172.6.16.249.
4.
Server Settings:
Right clicking the server in the list and select ‘Configure’, the following dialog will
pop up.
Tip:
Please note, don’t click the OK button at the bottom of Configuration dialog
till all the following steps (a~c) have been completed, otherwise reboot is
