Audio description is not always available on every programme. Audio description is
available if 'AD' is displayed in the programme information window.
You can turn the audio description function on or off by pressing the
AD
button.
CC (subtitles)
Subtitles give you an on-screen text version of the conversation or narrative on the
TV channel you’re watching. When you choose subtitles, your TV will show the
subtitles for the channel you are watching at the bottom of the screen over the
picture. If you change channel, subtitles will appear on the new channel until you
turn the subtitles off.
Not all programmes have subtitles. If they are available you will see CC displayed in
the basic information bar.
Subtitles are turned off as default. The
CC
button allows you to instantly turn
subtitles on or off if they are provided for the program you are watching.
Training
This button will place the remote control in training mode. When in training mode
and when the Talking Features are turned ON the system will announce the name
and description of the action for any button on the remote control that is pressed. In
this mode the actions normally associated with the remote control button press will
not be operational. To exit training mode press
exit
twice.
? (Information/where am I)
This button will display and speak information about the programme you are
watching.
Press the
?
(question mark) button, if you are within a menu option, this button will
describe what menu or function you are currently in. Press this key in live TV mode
to hear a description of the channel and programme you are watching.
