Hold the module with one hand and pull it straight out of the expansion slot
along the guide rail.

Place the removed module with component side upward into the antistatic bag.
Note
: Apply a blank plate to cover the slot where no expansion module will be
installed.
Removing an Expansion Module of SG-6000-X7180
Each module of SG-6000-X7180 has the same installation and replacement procedure.
To remove an expansion module, take the following steps:

Wear the ESD wrist strap around your bare wrist and connect the other end to
an ESD point on the chassis.
7.
Identify the expansion module you want to remove, and loosen the screws on
that module counter-clockwise.
8.
Hold the screws between your fingers and pull the module out of the chassis, as
shown below.
