The maximum range of the wireless remote control depends on various ambient conditions. The influencing
factors include in particular electromagnetic interference and metallic obstructions.
If the wireless connection is interrupted, all commands to the Jaibot are deactivated.
The wireless remote control incorporates a protective device to prevent inadvertent start-up.

If the Jaibot starts accidentally, press the emergency stop button.
The wireless remote control has a unique serial number for identification purposes.
It is impermissible to remove or make alterations to the rating plate.
Pressing the start button while the wireless remote control is going through its start procedure initiates a
check of various functions. If an acoustic signal sounds, the wireless remote control is correctly switched on.
As soon as the wireless remote control has started, movement commands, functions and other commands
can be sent to the Jaibot. This is done by pressing the appropriate buttons.
The wireless remote control shuts down automatically as soon as the wireless connection between wireless
remote control and Jaibot is interrupted, an unidentified signal is transmitted or received, and after a long
break in operations.
Inadequate battery power is detected by the system and indicated accordingly.
6.2.2 Operating controls
6.2.2.1 Keys
System operation requires 2 keys, with the rotary switch as master ON/OFF switch:
• Mechanical key / rotary switch
The power supply is switched on and off with the mechanical key.
• Electronic key
The electronic key contains the unique identifier for the wireless remote control. Each machine has its
own unique identifier, and each identifier can be used only with the paired machine.
6.2.2.2 Start button
• To check the status of various functions, press the green start button.
If a signal is present, the wireless remote control connects to the Jaibot.
6.2.2.3 Emergency off button
• To force the Jaibot to stop, press the emergency stop button.

Make sure that electric medical devices (examples: cardiac pacemakers, electronic implants, hearing
aids) are kept at least 15 cm / 6 inches clear of the wireless remote control.
6.2.3.2 Proper preparation of the working area
• Keep the wireless remote control switched off unless it is needed for operation of the equipment.
Before switching the wireless remote control on, position yourself where you have a clear view of the
Jaibot and the entire area of operations.
Always work from a secure position.
• Check operation of the emergency stop system:
1. Press the emergency stop button.
2. Press the green start button.
• Use the equipment supplied (example: shoulder strap or belt) for carrying the wireless remote control in
safety.
