Inspecting the
inverter start
relay
1. Set the starter key to the
"LOCK" position.
2. Remove the inverter start relay.
3. Using the electrical tester, mea-
sure the resistance between
the 3rd and 5th terminals of
inverter start relay. (With no
voltage applied)
4. Apply the voltage of 12 V
between the 1st and 2nd termi-
nals of inverter start relay and
measure the resistance
between the 3rd and 5th termi-
nals. (With voltage applied)
<Measurement conditions>
Starter key: LOCK
<Tester connections>

–
5th terminal
<Standard values>
Without voltage: 10 k
or more
With voltage: less than 1
The mea-
sured value is
within the
range of stan-
dard value: Go
to YES.
The mea-
sured value is
not within the
range of stan-
dard value: Go
to NO.
Go to step 6.
Replace the
inverter start
relay.

Inspecting the
voltage of
PCU wire har-
ness (lower
side)
1. Connect the PCU harness
(24P) connector and the
inverter start relay.
2. Disconnect the connector of
inverter cooling radiator fan.
3. Set the starter key to the "ON"
position.
4. Using the electrical tester, mea-
sure the voltage between the
connector terminals of inverter
cooling radiator fan.
<Measurement conditions>
Starter key: ON
<Tester connections>

nector
1st terminal
–
2nd terminal
<Standard values>
9 V or more
The mea-
sured value is
within the
range of stan-
dard value: Go
to YES.
The mea-
sured value is
not within the
range of stan-
dard value: Go
to NO.
Go to step 7.
Replace the
PCU wire har-
ness (lower
side).
