RECAUTIONS TO BE ADOPTED BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE
2.1
S
AFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
Before starting the engine, carefully check the conditions of the ground where the
machine will be working to look for any irregularities that may make the work dan‑
gerous or the machine unstable.
Always look out for people who enter the machine's working area.
Use suitable signs to warn people before moving the machine, and prevent anyone
from approaching the working zone when the machine is operating.
The machine is NOT fitted with a protective structure against overturning or the
falling of objects from above.
Before starting work, make sure there is no risk of overturning or falling objects
that may directly or indirectly hit the operator.
2.2
F
IRE PREVENTION
Keep the engine compartment clean, remove any frag‑
ments of wood, paper and other flammable material,
carefully clean any leaks of fuel, oil and flammable
liquids as these represent potential fire hazards.
Petrol is extremely flammable and explosive in certain
conditions. Always refuel in a well‑ventilated area with
the engine off.
Do not smoke or produce sparks in the refuelling or
fuel storage area.
Do not overfill the tank. After refuelling, check that the
cap is closed safely and properly.
When refuelling, check that there are no fuel leaks. Petrol fumes or leaks may catch
fire. Check that the area is dry before starting the engine.
