2.4 Current Measurement
• Never apply voltage to the test leads when
a current measurement function is
selected. Doing so may damage the prod-
uct and result in personal injury.
• To avoid electrical accidents, remove
power from the circuit before connecting
the test leads.
• To avoid electrical shock, do not use the
product to measure current in circuits of
1000 V or greater. The current function
overload protection trips at 1000 VDC,
1000 Vrms.
• Maximum input current in each range

A/mA range: 420mADC/ 420 mA rms
10A range: 10 ADC/ 10 A rms
Do not input a current in excess of this
value. Otherwise, the measurement prod-
uct will be damaged, resulting in an acci-
dent that may cause injury or death.
