Direct Input function allows you to input measurement values directly into Excel in the
same way as a wireless keyboard.
By attaching the Z3210 V2.10 or later to Z3210 compatible devices and
enabling the Excel
®
Direct Input (HID function), you can easily input data to existing Excel forms. Please
read this instruction manual and check whether input is possible to the device (PC or tablet) before use.

Preparation
Before using this function, you need to enable the HID function of the Z3210 and configure the
Bluetooth
®
connection settings.
Keyboard layout settings and Excel settings are also required depending on your operating environment.
Please refer to Table 1 for the method of switching the HID function of the Z3210.
Keyboard layout settings are not required if the keyboard layout is equivalent to Japanese 109 keyboards
or US QWERTY (US101). Many countries, such as China, Korea, Taiwan and Middle East countries use a
US101 equivalent keyboards, and do not need to be set up, but it is necessary to be set up in France,
Germany, etc., because the keyboards are inequivalent to a US101 one.
Since the decimal point output is a period (.), not a comma (,), you may need to set Excel options
depending on a country.
