Troubleshooting
Before repair, check the following table to see if you can identify the cause of the fault.
If the fault persists after you follow the instructions, you can consider repair.
Symptom
Solution
No sound or image exists.
1.
Check whether the power cable is connected to the wall-
mounted socket and whether the socket is powered on.
2.
Check whether you have pressed the power button or the
Power
button of the remote control.
3.
Check the settings of the screen brightness and contrast ratio.
4.
Check the volume.
5.
Check the signal cable connection, or disconnect and
reconnect the signal cable. (Power off the equipment for this
operation. Do not disconnect and reconnect the signal in the
power-on state.)
Screen display is normal but no
sound is generated.
1.
Check the volume.
2.
Check whether the LCD monitor is muted.
Sound and image interference
exists.
1.
Identify the interfering apparatus and move it away from the
LCD monitor.
2.
Plug the LCD monitor power plug into another socket.
The remote control malfunctions.
1.
Replace the batteries of the remote control.
2.
Clean the upper edge (transmit window) of the remote control.
3.
Check the battery contacts.
4.
Check for any obstacle between the LCD monitor and remote
control.
5.
Check whether the positive and negative electrodes of the
batteries are installed in the right direction.
Horizontal/Vertical fringes or
image jitters occur.
Check whether the LCD monitor is near any interference source,
such as an apparatus or electric tool.
The monitor housing generates
abnormal sound.
The change of room temperature can occasionally cause the
monitor housing to expand or contract, thus generating sound. This
is not the fault of the LCD monitor.
