Hisense Refrigerator

registered electrician or replace it in accordance

with the “cleaning and care” chapter.

The refrigerant and risk of fire

The appliance contains a small

quantity of refrigerant (R600a) in the

refrigerant circuit. Check the

compressor label on the rear of the appliance to

see which refrigerant is used for your appliance.

y

If the appliance contains iso-butane (R600a)

refrigerant, which is environmentally friendly but

flammable, ensure that tubing of the refrigerant

circuit is not damaged during transportation and

installation to avoid risk of fire caused by leaking

refrigerant.

y

Keep burning candles, lamps and other items

with naked flames and sources of ignition away

from the appliance and ventilate the room

thoroughly to avoid the risk of fire and eye injury

should any leakage of refrigerant (R600a) exist.

y

Do not store products which contain flammable

propellants (e.g. spray cans) or explosive

substances in the appliance.

y

The room space must be at least 1m³ per 8g of

refrigerant (R600a). The amount of refrigerant in

your appliance is indicated on the rating plate

inside.

Installing your new appliance

This chapter tells you how to use most of the

useful features. Before using the appliance for the

first time, we recommend that you should be

informed of the following tips.

Ventilation of appliance

For proper installation, this

refrigerator must be placed on a

level surface of hard material that

is the same height as the rest of the flooring. This

surface should be strong enough to support a

fully loaded refrigerator, or approximately 266 lbs

(120 kg).

To protect the integrality of the flooring, cut a

large section of the cardboard carton and place

under the refrigerator where you are working.

When moving, be sure to pull the unit straight out

and push back in straight.

In order to improve efficiency of the cooling

system and save energy, it is necessary to

maintain good ventilation around the appliance

for the dissipation of heat. For this reason,

sufficient clear space should be available around

the refrigerator.

y

Suggestion: It is advisable for there to be at

least 75mm of space from the back to the wall, at

least 100mm from its top, at least 100mm from its

side to the wall and a clear space in front to allow

the doors to open 155°. As shown in the following

diagram.
