5.4.1 Physical
address
A 48-bit physical address is assigned to each CMU.
This is a unique address; the user cannot change it.
5.4.2 IP
address
The IP address used for TCP/IP and UDP/IP is a 32-bit logical address. An IP address consists
of a network number and a host number. There are three types of address assignment depending
on the number of hosts.
(i) Class A (The high-order one bit of the network number is set to 0.)

(ii) Class B (The high-order two bits of the network number are set to 10 in binary.)
