If the camcorder is on battery power and set to “Power
Save: On”, and is left for up to 5 minutes (default setting)
without being operated, it will automatically turn off to
save battery power. To restart recording, turn the power
off and then turn it on again. You can also specify “Power
Save: Off” to stop automatic power off.

Is the camcorder set to the sleep mode? If 30 minutes or
more has elapsed with the camcorder in the sleep mode, it
will automatically turn off. Set the power switch to
“OFF”, and then turn it on again.

Check to see whether the proper type of BD/DVD is
loaded.

Set the power switch to “HDD” or “BD/DVD”.
•
If the HDD/disc is protected, cancel protection.
•
No recording can be done on a finalised disc.
•
Check the remaining free space on the HDD/disc.
•
If, when using a +RW, recorded scenes are very short
or you frequently switch the video quality, recording
may not be possible even when the disc has remaining
space.
