Making Discs Playable on DVD Players and
DVD Recorders
FINALISE
It is necessary to “finalise” before you use other DVD players and DVD recorders to play back a
DVD-RW, DVD-R or +RW recorded on this DVD video camera/recorder.
FINALISING DVD-RW/DVD-R/+RW DISC (FINALIZE DISC)

Press the FINALIZE button during recording
pause.

Choose “YES”, and then
press the
button.
The message showing
that the disc is being
finalised will appear,
and the disc will then be
finalised.

When finalisation is complete, the Disc
Navigation screen of all programmes will
appear.

Do not finalise a disc recorded on this DVD video
camera/recorder using any other device.
Before You Begin
•
Be sure to use the AC adapter/charger to power the DVD video camera/
recorder when finalising a DVD-RW/DVD-R/+RW disc (see page 23).
Finalisation cannot be executed using a battery. If the DVD video
camera/recorder is turned off during finalisation and the finalisation is
interrupted, incorrect finalisation will result, and at worst, the disc may
be damaged.
