The configuration information should be set in order to start the communication using GR4000.
This chapter describes about the procedures for configuration information settings based on configuration examples.
Note that this guide book introduces you to only ABC of configuration information settings. Therefore, refer to the
manuals listed in the section “6.5 Details about GR4000 operations” if you need to set more complicated configuration
information.
NOTE
Skip to the chapter “4. Confirmation of Operation Status” in case that you consigned the
settings of configuration infromation to our local service staffs in your region.
This section describes about the procedures for configuration information settings using simple network configurations
as shown below.
Prerequisites for configuration information settings are;
・The network interface board NE1000-12T must be installed into NIF0 of GR4000.
Likely, the network interface board NE10G-1LR must be installed into NIF1 of GR4000.
・Ethernet (10BASE-T,100BASE-TX or 1000BASE-T) must be used for the network A and C.
・Ethernet (10GBASE-LR) must be used for the network B.
・”GR1” must be used as a device name.
・”NETWORK-A“ must be used as the name of SNMP Manager.
・Use RIP as a routing protocol.

NOTE
The “0/0” of the Ethernet Port 0/0 means the following;
NIF No. = 0 / Port No. = 0
NOTE
As for the details about network interface boards, see the section “1.6 Network Interface Board”
of the GR4000 Hardware Installation Guide.
This section describes about the procedures for configuration information settings based on the example introduced in
the section “3.2 Configuration Example”. You can use the function of simplifying command inputs when deleting
configuration definitions. (See the section “6.1 Convenient Functions”.)
