①
Disconnect the power, wait for 10 minutes, and
remove the front door and the cover of the starter/
control box.
②
Make sure that the DCBL controller and inverter
charge lamps are off. Check these units for over-
heating, discoloration, odor, and dust/stain.
③
Clean dirt with dry air.
④
Regularly retighten the terminals, check the con-
ducting and insulating par ts for cor rosion, and
check and replace the cooling fans, smoothing
capacitor of main circuit.
For periodical servicing, contact the Hitachi author-
ized distributors or dealers.
If dust adheres to DCBL controller and fan inver ter
fins, it could cause the cooling capacity of the DCBL
controller and fan inver ter to diminish, the life of
smoothing capacitors and power elements to decrease
or parts to become faulty.
●
When cooling fins are slightly stained:
①
After about 10 minutes elapse after disconnecting
the power, remove the front door.
②
Remove the fin cover (2) as shown in the figure.
Immediately after the power-off, the cooling fins and
fin cover (2) are hot. Wait until they are cooled
down, and then commence cleaning.
③
Check for dust in the controller cooling fin and blow
away any matter adhering to the fin by blowing dry
air from above using an angled air blow nozzle.
④
Mount the covers as before.
