Connecting to the TV (Video Connections)
If your television is a high definition television, use the unit’s HDMI output to get the highest possible
video resolution. If unable to use an HDMI connection, use the unit’s component video output and set the
Progressive Scan option in the Video menu to ON to get the next highest possible video resolution.
Method 1: Connecting to a TV with an HDMI Cable
1. Use an HDMI cable (not supplied) to connect between the DVD player’s HDMI socket
and the TV’s HDMI input socket.
2. Press the HDMI button on the remote control to change output signals: 576p / 720p /
1080i / 1080p.
Method 2: Connecting to a TV with a Component Cable
Use a component video cable (not supplied) to connect the Y Pb Pr outputs of the DVD
player’s to the corresponding Y Pb Pr inputs of a TV.
Method 3: Connecting to a TV with a SCART Cable
Use a SCART cable (not supplied) to connect between the DVD player’s SCART socket and
the TV’s SCART socket.
Method 4: Connecting to a TV with a Composite Cable
Use a composite video cable to connect between the DVD player’s VIDEO OUT and TV’s
VIDEO IN (Video = Yellow).
