6 Remote Control Group / Group / Block
(1) Remote Control Group
● The Remote Control Group is a management unit with crossover wiring in a communication cable of the Remote
Control.
● Up to 160 Remote Control Groups are configurable.
● For applications that do not include local zone controllers, one remote control group will be generated for
each indoor unit by default.
● The monitored or controlled indoor units must be registered in an RC group.
(2) Group
● A Group is a management unit that is controlled or monitored by this unit.
● One or more RC Groups can be registered.
● Up to 128 Groups can be registered.
● Up to 160 RC Groups can be registered in 1 Group.
● To Monitor or Control indoor units and facility units, the units must be registered into a Group.
(3) Block
● A Block is a management unit that is controlled or monitored by this unit.
● One or more Blocks can be registered.
● Up to 64 Groups can be registered.
● Up to 128 RC Groups can be registered in 1 Group.

NOTICE:
● Important points when registering the Indoor unit
1. Remote Control Group
If an RC group consists of multiple indoor units, all units within that RC group will be in control of the
same command content.
If a change is made from the system to a unit that belongs to an RC group, the change will affect all units
in that same RC group. To control indoor units, the system sends control commands only to a single “main
unit” (main control) that represents the RC group. When the main control registers the RC group, this
unit is automatically selected. The selection standard selects between the Indoor units available, the one
which has the content that is the most configurable.
For example, if an indoor unit with a louver and one without a louver are in the same RC group, the unit
with the louver will be recognized as the main unit. If the conditions of the configurable content are the
same, the Refrigerant system No. and the unit No. will select the smallest Indoor unit.
2. Group / Block
If the configuration changes by Group from the unit, the configurable range will be set to a wide range of
the most configurable range concerning the setting item in all the Indoor units in the selected group.
Example 1:
If an indoor unit with a louver and one without a louver are registered in the same RC group, if the control
in this Group unit is set, the louver setting is possible.
Example 2:
If an Indoor unit for cooling and a standard Indoor unit are registered in the same Group, if the operation
mode is set in this Group unit, the Heat can be configurable. Still, if the operation is changed to Heat
mode, only the Indoor units configurable will perform this operation.
This condition is the same when changing a setting for a Block unit.
