8.4.6.4 RAS menu: MCS
Use this menu item to display the MCS window.
(1) From the main menu, select
RAS
and then
MCS
.
(2) The MCS window appears.

(3) In the
Top Address
text box, enter the starting address of the memory whose contents you want to
display. In the
Method to specify
group box, select
Specify address
or
Specify Symbol
as the
method of specifying the address. If you select the
Compatible PI/O
check box, the register address
changes to an S10mini-compatible address or an S10V/S10VE extended address. PI/O names in the
register are displayed as both S10mini-compatible addresses and S10VE extended addresses
regardless of whether the
Compatible PI/O
check box is selected.
Example: The address of the J000 register is displayed as
0x202000
when the check box is cleared,
and
0xA2000
when the check box is selected.
(4) Click
Read
to read the contents of the displayed addresses from the PCs.
(5) Click
Write
to write the contents of the displayed addresses to the PCs. If ladder logic is in RUN
mode, a message appears asking you to confirm that you want to rewrite the PCs in RUN mode.
