OPERATING MACHINE
5-23
Precautions for After Operations
1. After finishing the day's operation, drive the machine to
a firm, level ground where no possibility of falling stones,
ground collapse, or floods are present.
(Park the machine referring to the "Parking" in the
"DRIVING THE MACHINE" chapter.)
2. Refill the fuel tank.
d
CAUTION: Wash the machine immediately after
operation and then coat rust-preventive oil to protect
the machine from rusting. If the machine continues to
be used with rust developing, oil leaks may occur.
IMPORTANT: If heavy rain is expected or the machine
is to be stored, wrap the muffler with a tarpaulin to
prevent water from entering the muffler.
3. Clean the machine.
4. If anti-freeze or long life coolant is not used in cold
weather, be sure to drain coolant from the radiator and
the engine jacket.
Also, be sure to put a "No Water in Radiator" tag in a
visible place after the coolant has been drained.
