ATTENTION!
Never disconnect or loosen the encoder cable from the drive amplifier during
operation. This could destroy highly sensitive electronic components in the
encoder systems.
First shut down the power supply and control voltage before plugging or un-
plugging the connections on X10, X11 or X12. The same applies to changes on
the encoder system itself.

X13 - EtherCAT
Using the two RJ45 bushes at the X13 slot, the D1-N can be integrated in an
EtherCAT network and communicate with an EtherCAT master. You will find a de-
tailed description of the EtherCAT function in chapter 7.

ATTENTION!
For firmware versions 9.055 and later, the rear port (the one nearer to the
switch cabinet plate) must be used as the input.
Connecting the wrong order of devices to the bus can lead to timing errors
and communication malfunctions.
