, inspect these wear
parts for replacement.
• Flex Cutting edge segment
must be replaced when
the measurement is 6.7" from the top of the retainer
plate to the bottom of the cutting edge segment.
Follow the 'Maintenance Safety Checklist' and prepare
a work area. The bottom area around the cutting edge
must be accessible to remove mounting hardware and
replace the EdgeFlex segments. Use blocking to raise
the snow blade 6" to 8" above a level surface.
The EdgeFlex segment has sharp edges, use caution
when handling and wear heavy gloves.
The cutting edge is in many segments, depending on
which model you have. Each 12" segment is held on by
by two 7/8 x 3.5" gr 8 hex bolts with stover lock nuts.
The right and left EdgeFlex segments at each end have a
built in end cap.
• On left end, remove the bolts, nuts, bushings and
cover plate.
• Remove the segment and inspect the rubber spring
for any wear or damage, replace if required.
• Install the left end segment with the cover plate,
bushings and new bolts and nuts.
• Repeat for the remaining regular segments and the
right end segment.
• Torque all bolts to 338 N-m. (250 lbs-ft)
