Rubber Cutting Edge
If replacing a steel edge with the rubber cutting edge, be sure to use the carriage bolts included.
The Rubber cutting edge is heavy. Ask for help, use caution when handling and wear heavy gloves.
The rubber cutting edge is one piece, held on by a series of 5/8 x 3.00" carriage bolts with nylon lock nuts.
Rubber cutting edge
: must be flipped or replaced when it is worn to 1/2” from the mouldboard assembly.
• On one side, support the rubber cutting edge and
begin removing the carriage bolts and nuts. Cutting
edge braces may remain in place.
• Carefully lower the rubber cutting edge and retainer
to the ground.
• Carefully rotate the rubber cutting edge, so the fresh
edge is at the bottom. (or replace the rubber cutting
edge if you have flipped it previously.)
• Install the rubber cutting edge and retainer with new
bolts one end at a time, loosely tighten the carriage
bolts.
• Install the remaining new carriage bolts and lock
nuts.
• Tighten all carriage bolts until the retainer plate has
sunk into the rubber 1/8” to 3/16”.

CAUTION
Heavy or bulky parts
Prevent potential strain injury, use approved
lifting equipment or ask for help when lifting or
moving heavy, bulky parts.
When flipping the cutting edge, for optimum performance we recommend using new carriage bolts and lock nuts available
from your dealer. Replacement cutting edge kits ship with new hardware.
Follow the 'Maintenance Safety Checklist' and prepare a work area. The area around the cutting edge must accessible
to remove mounting hardware and flip or replace the cutting edge. Use blocking to raise the snow blade 6" to 8" above a
level surface.
The following procedure is for flipping the rubber edge. If replacing the
Carbon steel,
follow the procedure on the ‘Cutting
Edge and Skid Shoe’ page for removal.
Important: for optimum performance
use new bolts and lock nuts.
