Defining Inputs and Outputs

In the group list, groups can be defined and values can be added to the groups.

To add inputs select line input in the device list and click button

Add Group

To add outputs select line output in the device list and click button

Add Group

.

In the Window Define a name for the group (1-64 printable ASCII characters). Each group
name can only be used once.

Click button

To add a value to a group, select the group in the device list and click button

Value parameter

Description

Name

Name of value (1-64 printable ASCII characters). Name is shown in the external tools (e.g.
Studio 5000). Each value name can only be used once inside a group.

Data type

Data type of the value

Length

If length is more than 1, an array is defined. Arrays can have up to 255 elements

Add all desired input and output groups including the desired values.

Groups and values are entered in the device list.

Each group and each value gets an index (

) that is used internally to address the

modules and values.

To modify an input, output, or value double click on the respective list entry.
