Your vehicle
Use of the vehicle is not recommended for the following groups:
•
People with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities
•
People who cannot operate the vehicle safely due to their height
Modifications to your SD1 Urban that increase motor performance or
increase the maximum assistance speed, put your safety at risk and convert
the vehicle from a pedelec to a moped. This may result in traffic, licensing,
insurance, as well as regulatory and criminal consequences!
Rotating parts, such as wheels, pulleys, cranks or pedals, can pull in
clothing, stowed items and even body parts. For example, your scarf or
a bag attached to the handlebar may get tangled in the spokes while riding.
If you slip off the pedals, your foot could get tangled in the spokes. This can
cause serious accidents!
-> Always wear tight-fitting clothing.
-> Wear shoes with a flat sole that offer good grip.
-> Do not attach anything to the handlebar that could swing into the
front wheel.
A pedelec accelerates faster than a bicycle. Always bear in mind that other
road users cannot anticipate your acceleration capacity.
-> First practice handling your new SD1 Urban in a traffic-reduced area,
before you use it on the road.
-> Practice handling the brakes. See also section 4.4. "Brake system".
Please check your country specific requirements concerning lighting devices and
decide which passive reflectors are necessary to be mounted.
The rear reflector can be attached under the saddle. The front reflector can be fitted
below the headlight
