PRO TIP:
If you have difficulty sliding the antenna wire through the antenna support
tube, first pull the antenna wire through your fingers several times to straighten it,
then lightly wet the antenna wire with glass cleaner.
q
Uncoil the receiver antenna wire, feed it up through the antenna support tube mount,
then slide the receiver antenna wire through the antenna support tube.
IMPORTANT:
Verify that the steering channel and ESC throttle channel leads are plugged into channel 1 and channel 2 in the
receiver, respectively.
q
Push the end of the antenna support tube firmly down into the antenna support tube
mount.
IMPORTANT:
Leave any excess antenna wire hanging from the top of the antenna
support tube. Under no circumstances should you cut the antenna wire shorter.
q
Push the rubber cap over the top of the antenna support tube to keep any dirt and
debris out of it. Allow any excess antenna wire to hang from the top of the antenna
support tube.
If you're using a hard-case Li-Po car battery pack with preinstalled 4mm female Bullet connectors, an adapter may be included with
your battery pack or available separately to plug into the preinstalled connector on the ESC battery leads. See your local hobby
retailer for more information.
q
Solder one female T-Style connector (not included) onto your battery pack to match
the male T-Style connector preinstalled on the ESC battery leads.
WARNING:
Double-check that you install your connector on your battery pack with
the correct polarity to match the preinstalled connector on the ESC battery leads.
q
Install 8 fresh 'AA' Alkaline batteries into the battery tray, double-checking to make sure
that the polarity (+/-) is correct. The direction that each battery should be installed
is molded into the battery tray ('+' Positive and '-' Negative).
q
Slide the battery cover back onto the transmitter and push it firmly until it 'clicks'
closed. Set the transmitter aside for now.

q
Verify that the ESC On/Off switch is turned 'OFF'.
To ensure your safety, it's important that the ESC be turned 'OFF' when connecting
your battery pack.
IMPORTANT:
There is a sticker applied to the chassis indicating the 'ON' and 'OFF'
switch positions. The Red Line indicates 'OFF' and the Blue Circle indicates 'ON'.
