Activation of the stabilization system
• To activate the stabilization system, the operation lever must be mo
-
ved downward out of the closed position
k
until it locks in
l
. The
handle will become tight in the process, so that contact pressure is
created on the coupling ball via the friction elements. When the hitch
is locked on correcty the hitch handle will lay parrallel to the hitch bar.
Releasing the stabilization system
• Bring the operation lever slowly upward into the open position
(position
k
) to release the system.

Inspection of hitch
• The hitch handle can be closed from position
k
or
l
when
the green pin
m
is visible. (ball indicator) is visible.
If the WS 3000 is not properly attached to the tow ball,
the caravan can detach from the tow vehicle. It must not
be possible to release the hitch from the tow ball when
the jockey wheel is lowered.

Hitching
• Connect the break away cable into the eyelet provided for that
purpose.
• The open stabiliser hitch is set onto the tow
ball of the tow ve-
hicle. The stabiliser hitch usually closes by applying downward
pressure since the support load is
suffici-
ent (lever in position
k
).
• Insert the 13-pin plug while turning, in accordance with the
screw thread.
• Secure the jockey wheel
(see 3.5 Front Landing Wheel)
.
Preparation for hitching/unhitching
• To hitch and unhitch, open the stabiliser hitch
(lever in position
j
).
WARNING:
Ensure that the ball of your tow bar is
clean and free of grease.
Do not step on the A frame cover when the camper is
hitched. The maximum loads for the caravan and/or
base vehicle could be exceeded and the combination
could buckle.
Use only the grab handles provided to manoeuvre the
caravan (
see 2.8 After driving
) and never the lever of
the WS 3000.
Do not use the hitch as a lever to lift the caravan!
When dealing with higher nose weights hitching and
unhitching is simplified by the use of a support wheel.
Opening and closing the hitch
Once the hitch has been attached and locked, there
must not be anything that prevents the backwards and
forwards movement of the brake damper.
Although it is possible to drive without activating the
stabilizing device, e.g. when shunting, we do not re-
commend that you do so.
