Only use the CONE charcoal grill as described.
When grilling, there is an increased fire hazard. Always have a fire extinguisher on hand in case of an accident or mishap.
CAUTION – DANGER OF DEATH! When lighting or re-lighting do not use spirit, petrol or other highly flammable liquids!
Only use firelighters that comply with EN 1860-3!
Before lighting the charcoal wipe away all liquid that may have drained out of the lower vents, if using an ignition fluid for
the charcoal.
Do not add ignition fluid or charcoal soaked with ignition fluid to burning, hot or warm charcoal. When lighting the coals,
shooting flames and explosive deflagrations can occur, which can cause life-threatening injuries. Close up the ignition fluid
after use and place it at a safe distance from the grill.
WARNING! Children and pets should never be allowed near a hot grill unsupervised.
WARNING! This grill gets very hot and must not be moved whilst in use.
FURTHER IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICES
Do not use in enclosed spaces in case poisonous fumes gather that may lead to serious or even fatal injury.
Only use this grill in the open in a well ventilated place. Do not use the grill in garages, buildings, walkways between buil-
dings or any other such enclosed space.
Never use the grill under roofs, shelters etc. least of all under combustible roofs, shelters etc.
Do not use this grill by strong wind.
Do not move the grill during use, respectively as long as the gill or. charecoal is hot.
• Use appropriate care when using the grill. The grill becomes hot when grilling. Never leave the grill unsupervised when in use.
• This grill becomes very hot and should not be handled during operation except with grill gloves and then only at the places neces-
sary for operating it.
• Always wear barbecue mitts when grilling or adjusting the ventilation as well as when using a chimney starter.
• Wait until the grill has cooled down until moving it.
• Do not make any modifications to the product.
• Damaged appliances or damaged accessories may no longer be used.
• The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage which arises from improper or frivolous use.
• The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility for damage which occurs while using the appliance or for any claims by third
parties.
• Only for private use!
• Only use this grill at a distance of at least 3 m from combustible materials. Examples of combustible items include (but are not
limited to) wood, treated wooden floors, wooden decking and wooden porches.
• Always place the briquettes or charcoal on the charcoal grate.
• When lighting or using the grill do not wear clothing with loose sleeves.
• Protect yourself from sparks and hot, spattering grease. To protect your clothing, we recommend wearing a grill apron.
• Always place the grill on a stable, level surface protected from the wind.
• Open the lid whilst lighting and warming the charcoal.
• Never touch the cooking- or charcoal grate, ashes, charcoal or grill to test if they are warm.
• Do not pour water to dampen down flames or extinguish the embers in the grill. By extinguishing with water, damage can be
caused to the powder-coated upper surface. Instead, lower the charcoal grate by sliding the lever in its lowermost position and
close the lid.
• After cooking extinguish the coals by lowering the charcoal grate by sliding the lever in its lowermost position and close the lid.
• When preparing food, adjusting the ventilation, placing charcoal and using the thermometer or lid always wear barbecue mitts.
• Use grilling tools with long, heat-resistant handles.
• Never dispose of hot ashes or briquettes that are still glowing. There is a risk of fire. Only dispose of ashes and left over coals
when they are completely extinguished and cooled down.
• Never vacuum up the ashes!
• Keep the grilling surface free from flammable gases and liquids (e.g. fuel, alcohol etc.) and other combustible materials.
• When lighting the grill coals with an electric igniter, adhere to the attached user manual.
• Keep power cable away from hot surfaces of the grill and well used areas.
• The ability of the user to correctly assemble and safely use the grill can be impaired by the consumption of alcohol and/or pre-
scription or non-prescription drugs.
• This appliance is not intended to be used by people (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capacities or
those lacking experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person who is competent to ensure their safety or
are given instructions by them as to how to use the appliance.
• CONE is not intended for use in caravans, camper vans and/or boats.
• Never line the bottom of the grill with foil. This could prevent the grease from draining, allowing it to collect on the foil and catch
fire.
• WARNING, lining the grilling chamber with aluminium foil obstructs the air flow. Instead, when using the indirect method, use a
drip pan to catch the juices that drip from the meat.
• Do not use sharp or pointed objects to clean the cooking grate or remove ashes. Otherwise the upper surface may be damaged.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents on the cooking grate or grill. Otherwise the upper surface may be damaged.
• The grill must be thoroughly cleaned regularly.
• To protect the food and the grill, temperatures should not exceed 300°C / 626°F. Grill parts may warp at higher temperatures.
• CAUTION! The maximum capacity of charcoal (for grilling) or wood (for fire basket) is 1,5 kg (3.3 lbs charcoal).
By-products (chemical/poisonous) present during the grilling process may, in particular with incorrect handling or use of
unsuitable firelighters, be harmful to health. These can lead to cancer, pregnancy problems and other consequential harm.
