7. BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING!
•
The batteries must be installed / replaced by adults only, due to safety and product
operation considerations.
•
If the batteries are spent, remove and replace all of them with new ones.
•
Never use new batteries with used / spent ones, or batteries of different types, e.g.
standard (zinc-carbon) batteries with rechargeable (NiCd) batteries.
•
Do not short the battery terminals. Install the batteries according to their correct
polarity. Incorrect use of batteries is a potential risk of explosion or acid leak.
•
Do not short the power terminals.
•
Keep batteries away from sources of heat. Never discard batteries in fire or expose
them to direct sunlight.
•
Never immerse batteries in water. Make sure that all batteries are dry and clean.
•
Use the batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended by the
product manufacturer.
•
If a battery is damaged or leaks acid, replace it.
•
Immediately wash any skin and clothing exposed to battery acid.
•
Remove the batteries from the product before prolonged storage.
•
Do not dispose of spent batteries with household waste. Dispose of spent batteries
at a battery collection and recycling facility.
•
The batteries are non-rechargeable. Do not attempt to recharge.
•
Do not use rechargeable batteries unless specifically recommended on the product
packaging.
Installing and changing the batteries:
1. Pry open and remove the battery compartment lid, located underneath the shaker
base. Remove the spent batteries from the compartment.
2. Install 2 new batteries, type AAA 1.5 V according to the polarity shown inside the
compartment. Finally, close the battery compartment lid.
Disassembling the product:
1. Detach the shaker base and battery compartment by rotating it counter-clockwise while
holding the pitcher.
2. Pry open the pitcher lid latch to open the pitcher.
3. To open the lid cover lift it with your thumb.
8. CLEANING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
CLEANING:
•
Rinse out the pitcher lid and interior with warm water after each use.
•
Do this by filling the pitcher with warm water, closing the pitcher lid and switching
