Disadvantages of the conventional system:
Advantages of the SBS system:
Excessive and useless opening
of the arm with a waste of time
and requiring manual repositio-
ning of the blade on the rim edge
With squashing of the blade between rim edge
and bead you have to act manually to release it,
wasting time and energy
Blade with memorised positioning eliminates
the risk of damaging the rim
Blade IN stroke, controlled and limited to avoid
squashing the tyre (WDK)
Blade starting from the edge of the rim eliminates
the useless stroke of the arm thus saving time
Arm return self-locking system to free the blade from
being squashed between bead and rim
Bead breaking possible by pressing the pedal,
leaving hands free to turn the tyre on the roller unit
thus reducing time and hard work
The blade moves too far for-
ward, violently deforming and
squashing the tyre
10.0 Advantages of the SBS Smart Blade System
- Once the blade has been positioned on the rim edge, there is no longer any need to use the bead breaker arm
handgrip or the push button because the IN/OUT stroke is memorised, controlled by the SBS system. This means
you have both hands free to turn the wheel easily on the roller unit.
- While bead breaking, when the blade is squashed between rim edge and tyre bead, the SBS system frees it by
pushing it outwards (Power Out) without going beyond the starting position on the rim edge. This translates into
no laborious manual interventions and speeds up the operator’s task considerably.
- Blade stroke is memorised and controlled starting from the rim edge up to a fixed inside position to prevent the
tyre from being squashed and deformed. This allows full compliance with the WDK standards without the use of
any other accessories.
