REMOVAL OF THE EXTRA LOW PROFILE OR “RACING” PROFILE
TYRES USING THE ACCESSORIES
UPPER BEAD
Lock the rim onto the turntable as shown in tyre-changer's installation, use and maintenance guide.
In case of difficulty, use the bead-pusher (4) of the left accessory to keep the rim pressed against the turntable
jaws and facilitate its locking (Fig.20)
Position the mounting head as indicated by standard proceeding for tyre removal inside the installation, use and
maintenance guide.
Turn the rim until the valve is in the hour 1 position 1 (fig. 20A)
Position (Fig.21) the roller of the right accessory (8) on the right of the mounting head (X) and the bead-pusher of
the left accessory (4) from the opposite side so that they slightly press the tyre down to facilitate insertion of the
bead lifting lever (Y).
Release the right accessory and lower the lever to bring the tyre bead onto the mounting head.
Release the left accessory and turn as if you are doing the standard removal procedure.
To avoid tyre re-beading on the bottom edge, exert pressure with the bead-lifting disc of the right accessory. Fig.22).
LOWER BEAD
Follow the standard procedure for final removal of the tyre with the aid of the bead-lifting discs of the two accessories
to keep the tyre at the same level as the rim’s groove (for particularly high wheels). In this way, the introduction of
bead-lifting lever will be facilitated (Fig. 23).
